Project Context and Description

The mission is to support a Tunisian mesofinance bank in the study of the opportunity to transform its entire network of regional offices into banking agencies and in the development of its business plan. This mission also includes support with the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) to obtain the necessary authorizations.

This project is part of the Bank’s strategic development plan and the implementation of the National Financial Inclusion Strategy.

  • Developing a study on customer expectations through conducting a survey of a sample of 240 customers and organizing Focus groups with bank employees
  • Comparative analysis of the existing offer and that offered by the competition (products, pricing, conditions)
  • Operational diagnosis of the offices to be transformed into bank branches and the Bank’s central services
  • Evaluation of human capital
  • Information System (SI) Diagnosis
  • Spreading analysis and estimate of office budget into banking agencies
  • Development of an encrypted Business Plan with a sensitivity study
  • Support for the creation of the accreditation file to be submitted to the BCT.

In order to develop the microfinance sector in Tunisia, a new law was adopted in 2011. Thus, a mesofinance bank found itself faced with a decision to be taken regarding the creation of a company for the development of the microfinance business under this new law.

To this end, AMEF Consulting was asked to conduct an opportunity study to create a microfinance institution, by developing its business plan.

Project Context and Description

As part of its regional growth in Africa, a Tunisian financial institution has been interested in acquiring a majority block of the capital of a non-bank pan-African group, in association with other investors.

To this end, AMEF Consuting has been asked to support it in the strategic and financial audit work of this group (Due Diligence) in order to confirm its interest in acquiring this majority block and define its financial offer.

The pan-African financial group operates in 9 countries in sub-Saharan Africa and specializes in financing small and medium-sized enterprises.

  • Support for the development of the business plan forecast of the Post Acquisition Group’s business
